HOLY RA!
Did my Nancy just get shot. God this anime really knows how to make me mad.
Darke was cool though, I knew he was a good guy.

I was also kind of wondering why Drake didn't notice Maggie so I thought there was only a coincidence of name.

Another great episode! Did Junior just shoot his own mother?! He's got a lot of explaining to do. Yeah! Drake's back! I knew he was a good guy the whole time. I also wonder Drake only noticed Maggie.

A bit more of a sad/soft episode but well still pretty good, especially that ending was interesting nice cliffhanger though! Let's see what's next!

The showdown between Yomiko and Wendy is much "heavier" if you know Wendy's past as Yomiko's ally and friend. Having seen the OVA is sufficient but I wish I could have read the novels beforehand. Maybe someday. That aside, this attitude of wounded indignation (also seen from Joker in the previous episode) is pretty interesting to see from villains towards a hero character. They consider Yomiko a traitor and hate her for it.

I liked the depiction of Junior reaction to finally being found out. He clearly has affection for Michelle and Anita and he acts like a child being caught doing something shameful; the disapproval of people he likes and respects seems to send him into a panic. He sounds like he's about to burst into tears. It emphasizes his immature nature.

AN earlier episode already heavily implied Nancy was his mother (she goes right into mom mode the second she sees him), but I wonder who the father was? The clone of Ikkyu Soujun from the OVA?

Yomiko's parents get the photo glare treatment to conceal their faces, but I like their character designs anyway. Donnie (who probably won't be mentioned by name) gets the same treatment in the other photo with a younger Yomiko and Joker. Being a sequel to other things, even if you don't really need to have read or seen them to understand this series, lends it a sense of depth. Yomiko has a history. If this was an original series she'd only have "existed" for a few episodes by now and you couldn't get that sense of a past for her.

Maggie is also his daughter's name. She didn't disappear or anything so "our" Maggie definitely isn't his daughter (she's much too old anyway). It's just a coincidence between Drake's origin in the Read or Die novels and Maggie's in the Read or Dream manga that warranted a little something in this series. It probably won't come up again.

Considering that Junior has the same powers that Nancy has, I'm not surprised that Nancy is Junior's mother. But, the gun went off. Was anyone shot?

Junior has finally come out of the shadows. Too bad I am kind of least interested in him compared to all the other characters. But, I'm guessing we'll finally get some more information about him. Considering the timing of his appearance in episode 14, I wouldn't be surprised if he was taken because he's the next vessel for Mr. Gentleman.

If Nancy believed her child died, then maybe Junior is the clone of that child? My previous suspicion of Joker raping Nancy is quelled a little bit but it's still lingering since she had such a negative reaction to seeing him again.
