I created this thread trying to centralize the debating upon the criteria and formal definitions about what is "worth" of being discussed in this club, and what is not.

I'll start saying that personal feelings maybe deep on that person's own way. May be heard, but analyzed in order to avoid having "Doraemon" on the list because someone saw something philosophical there, and have plenty of arguments to reinforce it's idea.

The French expression "clichet" is often used as a completely arbitrary argument to reject an idea. It holds most of the time, but some old and known themes can be discussed, if approached by different ways, and have new possible interpretations.

But is useless for me writing alone, if the members get serious I believe we can have a deal

"Rather, dear Agathon, what you can't refute is the truth; for Socrates is easily refuted."

Many thanks for the effort to create a better environment for discussion..
frankly i do not know much about philosophy the subject...

i generally think that the criteria should be something like the way we do a thesis.. whereby we post the background follow by posting a specific question aka thesis statement.
We can start with more common questions (i.e good and evil; the standards we use to judge our conduct)
Follow by what kind of answer are we looking for (i.e yes/no, best possible?)
What are the consequences of the possible answers (i.e Do they tell us anything important enough to influence which answer to choose, if any)
Are there error in our reasoning

hopefully that helps
