Hello everyone! I felt the need to ask these questions, because I'm interested :P ;

Why do you read Hourou Musuko? How did you find out about it?

I'm trans myself, so one of my friends on a forum told me about it. And now it's my favorite manga.

What about you guys? Why do you read it?

Well... no ?

I can tell you how I discovered it, no problem (by searching at random on the net, art was great, so I started) but your first question strikes me as a little weird.

I'm reading it 'coz I like it, that's all. Why should have I a particular motive for reading something ?

That's a perfectly valid reason for reading, silveda! Even just "because the story is interesting" is fine. I just want to know why people read this manga, just like I would want to know why someone would read/watch anything else; do you like the story? The art? Do you relate to the events? That's all I wanted to know. Sorry if that was confusing.

Thanks for replying everyone!

Sorry if am wrong english structure, am not to good in writing english.

I like it because honestly i am a trans, but i not so lucky or brave like Shuichi or Yoshino.
I am life in Indonesia, and in this country is very hard to find an article, book, manga, anime etc about Trans or inter sexuality.

i find out about Hourou Musuko went i search anime to download.

For me....it's because Shuuichi is somebody I could never be. He's brave enough to be trying to live exactly the way he wants to, and he's starting at a young age. I didn't even understand myself at that age, well enough to know I would have wanted to be that way.

Same as OP. xD

I'm going through the same things as Shuu so I kinda got strength from reading it. I find it heartwarming, realistic and relatable.
