| Talk about what you like/ don't like, how you got into the series, and other stuff, etc . :D How long I've been a fan: Either since....urm...let's see....since 2000. Yes, so almost eleven years. XD w00t. Who is your favorite character: Shidou, definitely! Call it a little crush. XD Favorite episodes: 4 and 12, definitely Least favorite episodes? Eh, prolly the one with Yayoi and her twin....it was just boring to me...but I didn't hate it. lol Favorite couple?: ShidouxRiho. >_< HARDCORE. They are just too cute and sweet. ;_; Shidou was cursed to be alone forever with being immortal but now she'll always be there for him. They'll always have each other til the end of time....aw, it's so sweet I could cry just thinking about it. >_< Least favorite couple: CainxShidou. I know yaoi fangirls ship them hardcore because they are "male" and "hot vampires" but to me, this is anything BUT love. If Cain really cared, he should let Shidou be happy instead of constantly hurting him over and over again! T_T And that is ALL he does! Molest and hurt. That is not love. That's abuse. >:( Do you like the dub or sub better?: DUB for me. Shocking, right? XD But this was how I first saw the show and when I watched the sub, the English actors just seemed to give the characters much more personality. And I loved that Shidou was voiced by Kenshin's VA. XD How did you get into NW?: I have a friend who's VAMPIRE-CRAZY. XD She loved to share with me all her gothic, horror anime. She showed me the Vampire Princess Miyuu OVA first....then she showed me Nightwalker. ON VHS. You know, those big clunky black rectangles of plastic? That you have to REWIND? lol Anyway, I really liked it and when she got the DVD for it, she gave me the VHS and I watched it again and again. She also showed me the rest of the episodes on DVD. We watched all 12 in one night. XD Then one day I found the DVDs myself and was like "OMGNIGHTWALKER!!!111" and I bought them.XD For a really good price! What do you like/dislike about the series?: Haha.....the music is corny in a great way. (I do love the OP and ED) XD The story isn't particularly strong but you can tell this is a character-driven series...and that's okay. I love the art style (mostly in the later episodes since it got so much better). I love that Shidou is so different from the typical angsty or scary vampire "anti-hero"-he's just a nice guy....who needs to drink blood now and then. XD He's a strong person despite his tragic curse....and he doesn't make it hellish for the people around him or blame them-instead he PROTECTS them. His attitude is also pretty amusing sometimes. He's not flat or full of mystery so it's so easy to sympathize with him. He just feels incredibly...."human". This is what makes him such a great character and also my favorite anime vampire.^^ Guni and Riho are also great. Yayoi I could take or leave (although the banter between her and Shidou is very funny) I already told you how I felt about Cain. XD The things I don't like about the series are simple: not enough episodes...or a resolute ending........and a little too much gore. The scene with the dogs getting um.....well you know....was particularly hard for me to watch. I don't....like animal violence....even if they're not real. >_>; Do you own anything: The two DVDs it was first released on and the SOUNDTRACK! A specialty anime shop near me carried it. I spazzed when I saw it. XD Even if it's a Tawainese version....I did not care. XD Anything else you'd like to share? I have a cute SxH fanart floating around somewhere. XD I'll post when I find it.
