Wow, I can;t believe they finally explained that pushing-the-dream-on-Doremi thing.
The explanation of Doremi's obsession for steak was also great.

lol frog pudding...

Ah! so the events of this movie happened somewhere in the middle of the Sharp series. No wonder I thought it was too sudden when Pop wanted to learn how to play piano (when I was watching the series) lol. Anyway, nice little movie.

What I liked:

-The aforementioned pushing the dream thing.
-The aforementioned steak thing. Truly adorable moment.
-Focus on Pop. I'm watching this after finishing Motto so I'm dealing with Pop withdrawal.
-The hilarious chaos the bad wishes caused. (Though seeing Tamaki in a bunny girl outfit is kind of disturbing, even without the excessive make-up.)
-Hazuki being the only one not laughing at SOS's jokes for a change, even noting that they lack their usual style.

What I didn't like:
-Doremi's treatment of Pop. Oh my god that was probably the worst moment in the series.
Mid-Motto Spoilers.

You know you've screwed up badly when even Aiko thinks you went too far. So Hana-chan followed Pop. How was she supposed to contact the others right away. She didn't get one of those cell phone things from the queen. I still remember the intermission segment where Doremi's phone goes missing and Pop's shown using it to chat with her friends.

-Pop's tear ex machina was kind of silly too, but it's the emotions behind it that count.

All in all an okay "movie" and it's always nice to have more Ojamajo Doremi. 7/10.

You are supposed to watch this movie before episode 37 of Sharp. Hell, the series itself treats this movie as a normal episode of the series. I have found that to consider this movie as episode 36.5 is the best watching order, especially since episode 40 is the direct sequel of this movie.

What are you talking about? Did you even paid attention to what happened? The way they saved the flower was perfectly logical: the flower was a wishing-granting entity, so the way they saved it was to wish for it. You can accuse the ending of being cheesy, but never of being a deux ex machina.

Well damn, I watched it after episode 21 since that's when it actually aired. It did feel weird with Hana flying so casually, but didn't know otherwise at which point to watch.

It was a really good movie, mainly because of the Doremi and Pop character development. The flower plot was alright too, but the development between Doremi and Pop is probably the main focus of the movie. I kinda wish that more Toei franchise movies were like this, that actually add to the story/characters instead of just being just a bonus adventure that's often really bad.
