| Is it just me or does this look like an updated version of X-men: The Animated Series? Well in any case, Cyclops looks attractive for the first time ever so that's a good start. But, surprise surprise, I'm guessing Jean Grey is the dead teammate. |

Because in timeline, there's at least a few year gap between Frank Miller's miniseries wolverine adapts and dark phoenix saga(after which the x men anime is set). Wolverine had all the time in the world to change style and(considering what happened in dark phoenix saga) get a more battered look. |
