Hmm, I was sort of thinking the season would be split into two but oh well. Decent finish for the first half. Nice to meet Gordon of course.

Thank god the West had good enough taste to get another season green-lit.

So I watched the DVD documentary of S1 after this episode.

Basically it confirms the director Kazuyoshi Katayama and Hajime Yatate that the show was started because Sunrise wanted to sell toys in Japan back then.

Since Kazuyoshi Katayama wanted to incorporate a lot of Western style Drama at that time, it was the perfect opportunity to implement it on this show since the timing could have been more perfect.

He basis this show from the American 60s drama as well as a certain "Bat" show back then :P

So not surprising why a lot of people immediately think of Batman when watching this, even though this is based more on Batman 60s show instead of the Animated series(they were inspired instead).

Let's go Roger and Dorothy!!!

A fantastic cinematography as is standard throughout the series but this chapter begins to reveal details that give a background to the history of both the characters and the city and the MegaDeus.
