----------------------------------------
Cosette & Jean on the run was exciting. The stay at the convent was a great way to pass the years quickly while allowing Cosette to live a relatively normal life, with a proper education. But, since then, the story has been on something of a downhill descent...

At first, I didn't mind Marius' character. He was introduced with plenty of room for growth and will obviously play a vital role, come the end; most likely at Jean's inevitable trial since his goal is to become a laywer. However, the ABC rebels that came into the story with him currently have no value, and the whole lovey-lovey, nothing-nothing thing he has going on with Cosette is beyond irritating now. It was almost as if the last three or so episodes were on repeat: the two seeing each other at the park, saying nothing to each other and generally acting like love-sick puppies. Ugh!

Only two points are worth noting:

1: Jean is the most dense person EVER. He's with Cosette every day at the park, yet suspects Javert is onto him and moves out in fear, instead of assuming the obvious?...
2: Marius is a high-level stalker. Not only does he wait for the object of his affections EVERY DAY, he gives her a name of his own creation and starts calling random people by that name. Sccaaarrry.

I'm not too hopeful about the remainder of the series, right now. It started wonderfully but the unreal amount of coincidences (everyone living in close proximity) and this lovey-dovey crap is ruining my fun.

Also: the red-head is SO gonna do something bad to Cosette, later on. It was foreshadowed near the beginning, when the boy she liked as a brat liked Cosette more. It isn't going to end well, now that she's dressed in rags and AGAIN losing in love.
