What to watch 1st?

I want to finally start watching Negima but from what I understand there are 2 tv series and 2 ovas Which of the 2 tv series do I watch first?

You can watch any first. The two TV series have no relation to eachother. Negima!? is a remake that doesn't follow the original story (although it takes elements from it). Mahou Sensei Negima follows the original manga to some extent. The OVAs are side stories. Just watch it after the TV series.
