| Totem Movie Player and VLC Player |

| VLC or mplayer. I will switch permanently to VLC, if it'll implement ASS/SSA correctly. (It's already in the svn and some newer versions, but I tend to use, what I got with my Ubuntu.) |
| MPlayer and Totem for slightly corrupted files. |
| (S)MPlayer, if it fails xine, if it fails vlc, and realplayer as last resort (for real files, out course). Never needed gstreamer so far. |

| Mostly mplayer from console (much better scriptable and I love the keyboard commands) and if that fails I try totem or vlc. |

| mpv is my pick. Had a go with mplayer, mplayer2, smplayer2 (basically mplayer2) and also VLC and must say I love the verbose that you get with mpv when you run from terminal, it's nicely colour coded and all. I really would suggest you all to give mpv a shot, it's the greatest! |
