| Figured I would try to help pick up the conversation here so this topic is simple.. let's start talking about some of the recent animes you have seen that you fell in love with.. I could start I guess.. The most recent is one I am still watching and that is Persona 4: The Animation. I loved the game A LOT and so its cool to see the characters in an anime, which i feel has been done pretty good. the other one is Usagi Drop, which I didn't think I would like but has kind of grown on me. It is just a nice anime about a irresponsible guy who now has to raise a kid. |

| Usagi Drop was good stuff. I have to throw out Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. It took me by surprise how such a spin could be put on a genre that can be so generic. Magical girl with a dark twist? After a few episodes, I felt like I'd woken up from a sweet dream into the grim reality of the risks associated with saving the world. Suddenly it's not such a cute fun thing. It's realistic in that it enforces that enemies are dangerous. Soldiers go to war dreaming of glory just like girls become mahou shoujo dreaming of magic and fun. But not everyone comes back alive in a war... Also there's the Shakugan no Shana series. It's a bit long and the last season is still airing, but this series was like a breath of fresh air. Somehow I felt that I could relate it to other things (not even sure what) but to me it felt like an instant classic. Shana is such a recognized character anymore. When I saw the series for the first time, I knew that I'd seen her, but I had no idea where...This review was very meek in comparisson to my overdramatic Madoka speech... |

| I watched the new black rock shooter series,it was awesome,i wasn't to surprised that they made a series considering that it seemed like lots of people liked the ova but the series was awesome.im not sure if it was a series..or mini series..since it was only like eight episodes. |
