THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
I saw it RAW once again since I love learning Japanese many ways. Let's just make it as THE FOLLOWING HIGHLIGHTS:

-Midori being a little hyperactive with the old man may actually suggest for once that she gets along a lot more with older people.

-The love story is VERY WELL DONE even though used many times before, I think it brings A REFRESHING moment in this Series with Ran, Rui and Midori as well as fortify their bonds since hiking in this episode also seems to bring them closer.

-The rock is not GOD but a trapped spirit but that is also a misconception in Japan sometimes. Watch anime Mokke and much can be explained in the paranormal.

-The love of Ran and Rui was KAWAII. If only most couples would like this in Japan divorce would not even be an issue.

-Seeing alternate dimensions of how objects were is pretty cool but LOL when the couple was fighting cause that caused a sudden emotional shift in me but it was like sudden.

-Seems next episode will be a festival one...ANYONE TAMAYA? Also a first shower scene of Ran??? Hope has nothing to do with that Fanservice thing cause it really will ruin this anime unless it is somewhat of a light setting like in Hidamari Sketch x365, episode #5.

This was an eh episode...the bit with Midori and the old man was lame and the story is SO played out. Is there going to be any one thread that ties all of these episodes together, because it seemed that way in the beginning..I feel like there straying, if not stalling from the main storyline. But the interactions between Rui, Ran, and Midori will have to suffice I suppose.

If you're looking for action or something that may pick in this whole thing, then you are like me. I really want to continue the whole plot more like #3,4,5 of this series. Where The Hell is that sensei is the most important thing and why have they not made her find other people to join her cause with powers like hers???

I think MY FRIEND that it will PICK UP at around 12 or 13! I really to see crazy drama like Rui almost dying with a crazy wound or rape but with a very low profile, I mean really low but also in a way to educate the kids about how to avoid being victim.

SERIOUSLY WE NEED MORE VILLAINS!

Just so you know, the story of the man leaving home for profit in the capital is loosely taken from "Ugetsu Monogatari" or "Tales Of The Pale And Silvery Moon After The Rain" in English, which is a classic Japanese story, brilliantly adapted by Kenji Mizoguchi for the cinema (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046478/).

Appart from that the episode was interesting, nothing more.

In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same.
