Any Arsenal fans here? Anyone know why Arsenal release Senderos to Milan and took old Silvestre from United? I don't get it. Looks like Arsenal doesn't want the tittle this season.

I can't get it too. But I wouldn't say that Arsenal doesn't want the tittle this season. Like usual, Wenger takes a gamble on youth. And Silvestre is the only experienced/"old" player they've singed this year. Anyways, nothing can surprise me after Henry's departure for FC Barcelona.

The gunners have got a young, talented and inexperienced squad, as it was shown in the last campaign. They probably wanted Silvestre to add a little depth to the squad with the 9 years he served at Man Utd.
As for Senderos you have Silvestre (now), Gallas and Toure more than enough to cover centre back position.

Does anyone pay attention to teams outside the Big 4? I've been really impressed by Hull's start to the season with basically the same team as last season.

The Berbatov issue is going to hang around for the whole season, unless Spurs can bring in a striker who is much better than Darren Bent. I'm somewhat hoping Spurs sell Berbatov to a Spanish club for less than what Manchester United are offering.

Yeah I think Berba should go to Man U even though I hate Manchester.Tottenham is just too small for Berbatov and I think Man U is the best option for him.

Funny thing about Berbatov transfer is ManUtd really want him, but they hold CR7 who have similar problem with Berbatov.

Btw, Pavlyuchenko (Rusian striker) joined Totenham.

It's strange, I heard that he had a trauma and he wouldn't recover in time. Russian wikipedia says that spurs bought him, but I haven't found any official confirmation. According to Eurosport "Roman Pavlyuchenko could be a Tottenham Hotspur player by Thursday after Spartak Moscow revealed they have accepted an offer for him." ~source~

Well if that's true I think that's the end of Berba's career.Don't get me wrong, but I think that Man U won't buy him only because of the price Tottenham want for him.And now with Pavlyuchenko, Huande Ramos will send BErbatov on the bench for the rest of the season. And I think Man U will buy Klaas-Jan Huntelaar..

Thanks, I've already watched TV news. :)
It looks like Pavlyuchenko will sign for Spurs soon. Well, they've made a good choice. His transfer fee is lower, he's somewhat lazy though, but he has a better personality than Arshavin.

The Premier League isn't so bad if you take the big 4 out of it, or there's the lower leagues, not that anyone here supports someone there. And on Ronaldo, diving exists pretty much everywhere and until FIFA lets leagues retroactively punish divers it will continue to happen.

wow, guys, premier league is the best league on earth. It's cleaner and more entertain than other league. It has most of the best talent. And it has better system than other (remember calciopolli on Italian serie A). What better than that?, and of course strong/rich team always looks like dominate it, it also happen in any league, but they not always won, remember Porthsmouth won last FA cup after defeating United in semi.

So today's results:

Hull 0-5 Wigan
Bolton 0-0 West Brom
Everton 0-3 Portsmouth
Middlesbrough 2-1 Stoke
West Ham 4-1 Blackburn
Arsenal 3-0 Newcastle

Hull finally suffer the first of what may be many beatings this season, West Brom get their first point of the campaign, Portsmouth win their first game against non-Big 4 opposition this season, Boro beat ten-man Stoke after wasting many chances, West Ham crush Blackburn and save their manager's job for another week and Arsenal give their first convincing league performance of the season against a terrible Newcastle side.

In transfer news: Dimitar Berbatov is expected to sign with Manchester United tomorrow, Roman Pavlyuchenko has signed for Tottenham, Louis Saha has signed for Everton for no initial fee and Bolton have signed Ebi Smolarek on a season-long loan.

The 3 biggest confirmed stories of the day ended up being City's take over from an Abu Dhabi based consortium and City then going out and getting Robinho from Real Madrid just as it looked like he was going to Chelsea...and Dimitar Berbatov went to Manchester United after all for a bunch of cash and Frazier Campbell on a season-long loan with a clause not to complain to the Premier League about the transfer.

He's apparently gone from the 13th best paid player at Real Madrid (behind Royston Drenthe even) to the highest paid player in the sport. If they are even able to bring in only a couple of the 18 world stars they want to sign he would be more than happy to stay.
