| Essence is the fundamental forces of creation. By understanding these forces the Daemonia can alter the world around them in greater or lesser degrees. Think of it as magic in its raw form. Any Daemonia could potentially wield any essence they see fit, but the tribe they belong to determines which essence they are attuned to. The Essences are: Light - Wisdom and knowledge. Grants the power to bend reality with your mind. Light is to know and with other elements grants clairvoyance. Shadow - Love and subtlety. Create illusions or hide things from the senses. Shadow is to conceal and with other elements allows you to either conceal or reveal things. Earth - Fortitude and change. Boosts physical traits and bends the earth. With other essence it allows the power to change things. Fire - Adrenaline and Life. Creates the spark of life and bonuses when adrenaline is pumping. Create fire. With other essence it grants energy. Water - Creativity and Passion. The power of water is the power to create. Create water. If the world wasn't about to explode or something there'd be enough people to remake the oceans. With other essence it grants bizarre effects. Sky - Freedom and Willpower. Let no cage lock you up, let no chains bind you. Also air blasts...with other essence it grants ephemerality (transience, as in it's barely there) Death - Patience and Retribution. Be patient and judgement will come forth and smite your foes. It eliminates contradictions and makes opposite the same. The essences can be combined to create new effects but there are opposites that cannot be mixed directly. Light and Shadow Fire and Water Earth and Sky Death is its own opposite. With knowledge of the essences and their opposites, it is possible to counter opponents essences, causing them to backfire. All essences are opposites of themselves and cannot be combined with itself...unless you like the idea of exploding...as in you. |
