| I didn't expect that end! Throughout this episode we had more weird imagery with the fish jumping and then on the plate moving but dead. More moth stuff too though redundant with another sword slice. This short arc has also had some nice visual effects with water and nice dark colors. The bad guys are sort of refreshingly honorable and merciful. I don't understand why Katsu has the money exactly, why he was given it and why he kept it, but Tatsuma's on the trail of traitorous actions. |

The close-up of the fish moving on the plate was to show how fresh and well-prepared the sushi was to underline the world of opulence and status that Tetsuma was being offered the chance at joining if he followed his orders in the government's conspiracy.  |

| though there is still certainly a possibility that he doesn't die, I definitely got the vibe that Daigoro wouldn't make it through this when he was reflecting on his lack of skill in swordsmanship and whatnot but then decides he is going along with the group anyways despite the danger and his lack of experience because he's ashamed and tired of sitting around on the sideline feeling useless... I was like "he's gonna die, isn't he...?" |
