Wow. I don't even know what to say. This show tries to combine 3 different archetypes, introduce friends and a rival we are supposed to "care" about, all within the span of 2 episodes. Certainly very interesting, and could have been expanded upon, but taking just 1 look at the cookie-cutter personalities of the characters, the lack of introductions, and the carefree attitude makes it easy to see why many have passed this up in favor of far better endeavors. What do you think?

First episode is fine. It's like gundam mixed with magic and role playing game stuffs.

I like the carefree attitude of Flanka. Not obsessed to be competitive at all.

Ancient thread but will type this out anyway.

This was probably made for fans of the visual novel. So people like us who have no knowledge of the characters, or even the context of what's going on, aren't 'supposed' to be watching it. For two episodes, and all of the above considered, I thought it was pretty fun with a nice, relaxed fantasy setting and a mix of comedy and some mech tournament action. The rivalry is literally defined in the first few minutes, and in joke form, so not sure what the big deal is there.

What would the alternatives even be? because I wouldn't mind more in this vein.
