| I was a fan of Oumagadoki Doubutsuen so it's nice to see something new by the author, but I found this opening chapter a bit...boring. Usually a new Jump series has something that leaves me wanting to know what happens next, but it came off a bit weak. I know it's the first chapter and all, so I will continue to follow it and see what happens. |
| Not a very good 1st chapter in itself but it has what's most important for any manga in its first couple of chapters: potential to grow a lot. I can indeed see a fair amount of potential here. Let's hope the mangaka has a steady idea for a recurring plot that leads us through the story (pretty much like any good shounen battle manga) instead of just relying on episodic arcs all the way through (kind of like Magico where you can't really understand where the mangaka wants to take the story). With something like that coupled with a good exploration of the world and all the gimmicks the quirky setting of the manga allows, I think we can have a pretty good one here. Now that is assuming it doesn't get cancelled. |

| The failure I see in this manga is that the artwork is too comic for such serious story. But it didn't matter at all, as long as the story follow the true path and doesn't transform in a comedy. |

| Hope this starts a shounen boom about alien fights. This was a really great read. I hope the author express the manga to its full potential. The art style is like of Blue Exorcist with a mix of Magico/Soul Eater twist. It also gives the vibe of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann! My speculations... I bet the real prince will come back in the far future as some kind of a hermit/sage character or a completely evil character. And if this ever gets anime in the very far future, I think that Tiamat should be voiced by Kazuya Nakai, the voice behind Roronoa Zoro and Hijikata Toshirou. |

| This is going to be one of my favourites. I just KNOW it! I loved this chapter, 9/10. The art is like a mix of Ao no Exorcist + Blood Lad + Soul Eater.  |

| Really like the premise of the series so far but the number of chapters worries me a bit... I hope they at least flesh out the main characters well in regards to their pasts and roles. |

| It's interesting to draw some parallels between this first chapter and My Hero Academia's start, but I guess I shouldn't really delve deep into that for those reading this before My Hero. Which is a shame, because those are the most interesting elements. The plot set-up feels a lot more contrived here, and Astro feels a bit too shonen boilerplate but my fondness of My Hero Academia leaves me to believe there's potential here. I do like the alien designs and the orgue seems like a cool weapon too. The short length could be worrisome but one of my Hero Academia's strength is being able to pack in epic moments within short time-spans so I'm interested if that carries over here. |
