| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- If there is one thing I liked of this episode aside the nice direct fan service of much lighter propositions in the spoiler  those my friends are called Itashas (might spell it wrong) whom are transport vehicles redesigned with anime decals or some are even painted directly on the vehicle whom costs obviously much more. Not only does it make it artistic but it also advertises for free anime series. DOUBLE DEAL! I would say out. Just careful not to put stuff like Kodomo no Jikan goes some people might brand you names you are not. I liked a lot seeing the girls and particularly Yuuka in the following,  Along with the spoiler In general it’s a good episode that dealt with handshakes and creepy people that would want to threaten and kill you or at the very least scare you away. | That boy was asking for death when he sent that death threat, good thing he was in the future and not present day or he would have had a bounty on his head by now, I'm also glad he seen the light by having Orine save him from certain doom and is no longer terrorizing her. Unfortunately this often happens in the idol scene, even for the slightest misgivings. That handshake, it's pretty much the same as in all AKB48 events, they better watch it there may be fans that spit in their hands and handshake idols that way yuck. Sonata's bunny outfit in this episode should be standard over her original, it's many times better, some fan needs to write in that suggestion. Itasha mecha, now that's nice and the fact that there are also male fans in combat as well. |

| IT'S SUMMER~~~ In Japan~ no wonder the bikini scene lol They're talking about handshake event, a popular event with AKB48 because they're idols you can meet. I've actually been to one event. There's alot of people kids with their parents, men, girls, teens etc..I've seen a picture of wheelchair kid at a handshake event too :O... Heard the biggest one is like 80k people in one day. Also....even tho it's Akibastar...I see Shibuya 109 building lol Poor Orine......these things happen alot with celeb. : Takamina, the captain, encourage her just like she would in real life :) THE CREEPY KID IS A JELLY SASHI FAN!! LOOLOLOL~ I wonder how the sashi fans are feeling about this XD LMAO....Wotagei with saber...XD Okada and Kawamori is a dangerous pair XD -------------------- Insert song. -Manatsu no sounds good - AKB48 new song that sold over 1 million copies the first day and 1.66 million first week. | The ridiculousness of this anime is quickly rising to Macross 7 levels (not hating. I like both this Anime and M7), but that's alright with me, I'm having fun. I felt sorry for Orine when she got that hate mail (good job ab mail screening, idiots!), but in the end, it worked out. I think it's easier to hate someone from the distance than from close up, especially if the other doesn't hate back at you. And finally some action again! It was fun seeing the girls engange the DES Marines with their micsabers. And then OMG: The Wota troopers, with they glowstick sabers and glowstick missiles (Macross Missile Massacre style no less). And lets not forget about the Itasha mecha. I was entertained and emotionally involved, which means this episode gets 5/5. PS: Omnomnom swimsuit Idols |

| I went into this all like "God I hope this makes up for the crappy last episode." When I saw the pointless swimsuit fanservice bullshit right off the bat, I facepalmed and concluded "Nope." But lo and behold, the episode was actually good. Got some good Orine characterization, which was much needed. Nagisa was her normal caring, peace-keeping self. (I lol'd super hard when she was wearing those big fat sock-things.) Chieri was pretty good this episode as well. Though I'm confused how she thought she was somehow disguised just by wearing a yellow dress. Glad to see they continually acknowledge previous events. I was hoping for far more serious action in this anime. You have fanservice but won't make the fights actually violent? What the fuck? I'd be fine with childish action if they didn't also include fanservice. | Chieri as helpful as rock dropping at your head :P ok I know what she wanted to do, just the way haters, trolls and other losers - they have those in a future but couldn't they just trace that one mail, send some mecha there and burn that place to the ground XD like mods with nuclear weapons :P but I liked this episode mixing those "SoL" parts with decent fight, it kind of worked ok weird part was that they just got those sabers to fight with DES with guns, not most effective way to do stuff... and those fans :D that was funny ahh and those costume change - come on that bear-thing would be awesome it's getting better I can say :) I see my source of entertainment has came :) |

Before being accepted - no weapon, we have reserves 2. Undergraduate - ok you have some but let's face it, it's lightsaber you look cool, somehow you can fight but if big one shoots it's over 3. Successors - guns, mecha, planes and Death Star of Love (with hearts everywhere) ahhh and mindf*ck of the episode (last time we have clone family)... people reading all those mails, I totally understand why they do it, but things they've probably seen - I'm sorry for those poor souls (and hate mail is not the most disturbing thing...) they deserve medals for sure |

Anyone got a foreshadowing for future drama from this? Chieri dad's actually the weapon supplier for DES so she would recognize the weapons but it's possible her dad can influence the DES to fly in and get his daughter back since KKS promo vids were shown at other planets. |

| You gotta remember these understudies are young girls, assuming around 11-14. (?) I wouldn't call Orine stupid, just naive. Anyways, I really enjoyed this episode. I didn't care for Orine until now, and this episode really put some more dynamics into her personality and character, along with giving her development and growth. You could say this anime also acts as a 'coming of age' tale, as the characters learn more about the harsh world and learn how to react to it. So yeah, this gets a 5/5 from me. I'm looking forward to seeing the situation with Chieri and her family being resolved, though I can see them using that as a climax for the story. |

| I thought Orine handle it very well actually. She's only young and to get BOMB threats before she's even debuted must be hard. But she still went out there for the handshake event, I felt really proud :') I loved this episode, this anime is so so good! I love Orine a lot more after this episode and Sonata's outfit was so cute :3 and Orine's first handshake with that little girl was so adorable. The anime's not even finished but I already want season 2! |

| Enjoyed this ep as well as previous ones. Love the Ottas :), if I could I would fight along side the girls too! so pretty cool. The ending I love it as well. So akb0048 is based on a real band from these days?(akb48?) I don't know, it's what made it seem in some of the comments. Anyways love the anime! looking forward to next ep! |

| I know that Sankaku has a lot of unbelievable post but some are true. At first I believed that about the issues of the handshake event, but I looked into some facts and it's mighty impossible for them to do that with the tight security they give to the idols and all. I think there'll be six new understudies next episode. According to the official akb0048 youtube channel. |
| This episode was really nice, they did a good job in showing the relationship between the idols and the fans including haters too. With them giving each other inspiration and support. | I'm glad they chose to explore a darker side to being an idol. With anything, if someone likes it then someone else will dislike it. It was a good lesson that she reacted to his complaints as pointers to further improve her character instead of ignoring his feedback. AKB are really a force to be reckoned with if their fans will physically fight for them on a regular basis. |
