One could say that as a follower of The Yaoi Sect, endless reiterations of yaoi would be both the most horrifying and yet most glorifying state we could end up in. To continue with the Buddhist ideology, The Four Noble Truths mentioned in the Buddha's first discourse, I believe pertain specifically to yaoi. Buddha said: 1. Life means suffering. 2. The origin of suffering is attachment. 3. The cessation of suffering is attainable. 4. The path to the cessation of suffering. Is not the origin of the term yaoi similar? Allow me to offer comparison: Japan said: やめ て、お尻が、いたいから or, Yamete, oshiri-ga, itaikara! Stop, my ass hurts! Coincidence? I think not. I think yaoi is the vehicle of suffering that Buddha mentioned, which we must overcome to reach enlightenment. |
