SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!
This question has been eating away at me. In one of the last few episodes, Nagisa decides to run for Etoile. When Shizuma finds out, she is mad and starts breaking stuff in her room and starts to cry. Why does Nagisa running for Etoile anger/ sadden her?

Because Nagisa runs the Etoile competition with Tamao.

i guess becoming the etoile together with you partner deepens your relationship, i don't exactly know but i think they said you have to give more than your full trust to your partner :o
it could also mean that nagisa's best relationship is with tamao even though her relationship with shizuma is deeper
