I understand voices have to change eventually for long-running shows (or when the voice actors destroy their voices, considering Excel Saga), but as of now these voices lack the sincere feeling that the previous ones did. I feel that more effort is going into sounding like the previous ones (unsuccessfully) than is going into the actual acting. That being said, I've seen a lot of the later movies and I'm not unhappy with the actors in them, so it's nice to know for sure it really will improve. |

| Ngl, even as someone who grew up with this voice cast, as well as this particular season, it's still jarring coming in from the 4kids dub. I really feel the magic that's been lost here, even with all my nostalgia lol. I can vouch for improvement and plenty of charm having grown up with later seasons tho, Team Rocket especially; those guys can still liven it up just like OGs. | And thus people we have entered the ninth season of the anime and the final one of the Ruby & Sapphire Series Pokémon: Battle Frontier and the beginning of a new dub for the eng language which did not fit well with a large number of audience. For me... I can surely feel the difference and the attempt to imitate the previous dub actors but since I already these are going to sink in and are no big issue by Diamond & Pearl is a relief. Now, with the beginning of the season, we've also got ourselves a new Opening Song - Battle Frontier which is one of the best of all pokemon english openings for me (even though its only half a minute long). As for the episode itself... I'd say it was fine, nice to see an enjoyable filler with a decent plot with which I do not have any major complaints. Wobbuffet surely took a big hit in this one, I actually felt bad for him but it was nice seeing a rocket member committing treason lol. I really want Wobbuffet to meet this Kirlia once again as it seems to be one of the more successful ships in the anime (but that is almost neglibily likely to happen). Also, I'd be great to see some callbacks to Ash's previous journey through Kanto as the territory is familiar and we're coming across familiar locations such as Saffron City in the last one. Also, the Pokemon Trainer's Choice is finally gone... Thank God!!! It was so annoying for some reason and now we've got a rap known as Pokemon Go! as an ending (future foreshadowing anyone?) of which I couldn't make out a single word except "Pikachu" and "Pokemon" Now onto the next one... |

| This is dogshit. Why would they change voice actors just because 4kids is no more? I'm going to miss hearing Dan Green (Mr Yugi Moto) popping up in randomn episodes. |
