| Kai told Yamato about Mei. Yamato carried her out of the hall on his back. She has a fever, had overworked herself getting ready for the contest. She is sorry for being a bother. Yamato and Megumi win the contest, big surprise... Yamato and Mei are eating. Say they love each other again, kiss, very sweet stuff. Says she trusts him so he can go on the contest prize date with Megumi for the winning idols. They check the ballots and find that it was rigged! There was no way Mei could have won. Megumi is again, evil incarnate. |

| Actually what I found most impressive about this episode is that the mangaka didn't go for the two easy plot choices: Mei wins narrowly beating out Megumi, or Megumi wins narrowly beating out Mei. Not only was this a bit more realistic (after all third place is actually pretty good for Mei considering her lack of stage presence and self-effacing ways), but it actually opens up some other avenues. I'd like to see a double date by adding in Kai and Mei to the mix and then have Yamato and Mei leave, setting up yet another couple--but who knows... I'll just have to wait for the next scan since we're basically one year behind on the actual release. |

| Yeah, I saw that this is actually a year behind in the author's notes at the end of the chap. It was probably more realistic that she didn't win, but I can't stand Megumi, she might have been saying that about the date with Yamato but it's just for show. If Mei said no Megumi would make her look like a sore loser or something. But Megumi cannot be trusted at all. Hopefully he will fall for someone else soon. At least I think that Yamato will hopefully be able to put her in her place. But I think the way the chapter went is actually stronger story writting than like her almost winning or winning, it sets it up for her to strive for more and such too. And I think that their relationship will start to "progress". |

The Japanese volume 8 with chapter 32 came out a year ago, they were published on January 13th 2012. Volume 9 with chapters 33-36 came out July 24th. Volume 10 with chapters 37-40 comes out January 11th. I have ordered it, coming soon! |

| Actually, I think Megumi is merely see this as a last ditch effort, I don't really think she is still 100% obsessed with Yamato, in fact I'm not even sure if she still cares for Yamato at all, and is probably going to do something very out of character during the date. |

| Yeah that was pretty predictable. The traditional gender role bs and Mei always being down on herself is kind of getting old for me... nothing new and exciting. |

| No way... Megumi won?? I can't believe it! And Mei is ok for her to date her Yamato? That can't be good and I hope Megumi doesn't do any bold moves cuz I sense trouble comming (hope not)... Yamato should be cautious on his date with Megumi. At least both Mei and Yamato trusts each other so that's a good thing :) |
