Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't "Crime Edge" actually a pair of thinning scissors? Which means you wouldn't even be able to cut hair with it like the guy does in the show?

I guess they though it looked cool, but it's kind of stupid if you ask me...

Yes but you'd want to believe they gave it a second of thought since it's the focal point of the entire show...

Yea and a dagger would be better than a scissor

Been thinking that in every episode, maybe it's a consequence of the "enhanced capabilities" of the Killing Goods? I'm not trying to be rational here, just sticking to the mechanics of this show.

Yes but according to the show logic, if I understand correctly:

Normal Object ---> Someone Kills a ton of people with it ---> It becomes a Killing Good

So it still means his ancestor used its normal form to cut people up right? I know it doesn't really matter but it's very very silly.

Given that the scissors were well made + the strenght of the old user (the handles of the scissors also are very big, so that would help to transmit the force), and some basic anatomy knowledge, I would say it's possible. Not an easy ride for sure, and you wouldn't be able to do very precise cuts, but I don't think a serial killer is looking to do Yokochi like dissections ( http://www.amazon.com/Color-Atlas-Anatomy-Photographic-Lippincott/dp/1582558566 )

Though I don't really think that the author thought it at all, and he just went for something "cool looking" as it was said above. I'm just sayin' that it could be possible. Not easy, but doable :P

After Yamane's explanation about her ancestor, it doesn't seem like they have to kill a lot of peoples with it.
Kiri's ancestors (200-300 victim) is an exception rather than the norm.
Probably they just have a list of noticable serial killers and then randomly put curse on the short list.

And cutting people with that scissor, must hurt a lot like stabbing people to death with a spoon.

Imo the scissors are completely badass lol, the fight scenes with them are just awesome.
