I guess these are the same group from Frontier. Pretty badass as well. Poor Marcus ;.;. He's a brave guy but tries too hard imo. Regarding his father though..I'm not sure if he's 100% serious. His words seems so but I don't find his character appealing this episode. Get hold yourself, Marcus. |

| Yay, RhodoKnightmon, Dynasmon and Dukemon! I am not sure if they are same group as in Frontier. RhodoKnightmon and Dynasmon were in Frontier's Royal Knight group but Dukemon wasn't. However if I remember correctly there were more members than just Rhodo and Dynasmon, but they weren't shown for some reason. Maybe they were killed before Royal Knight arc. So, Gotsumon lost his memories, but Agumon didn't? Oh, Masaru can block huge swords now? I have lost faith in this season having any kind of logic at all. They are just doing random asspulls now. At least I knew that Masaru's dad was Yggrasil. |

I can imagine Marcus fisting his father and then everything is saved. No logic at all. I liked how they got surrounded by Digimon elite. |
| Gottsumon is back, but fortunately he decided to side with the DATS this time. Just before Masaru and ShineGreymon had a chance to defeat Craniummon, they got interrupted by the rest of the Royal Knights. Yggdrasill finally revealed himself, and he's none other than Masaru's father. It was the shock of Masaru's life. Yggdrasill ordered the Royal Knights to eliminate the DATS team, but one of the Royal Knights, Sleipmon, rescued them just in the nick of time, and they were able to escape. |

| The writer knew some plot points are going to roll some eyes, so they set up some precedents from early on. Case in point, Masaru's dad had fought and won against SaberLeomon, so Masaru stopping Craniummon's attack is not completely out of left field. It still doesn't make it any less bullshit, but I appreciate the effort lol. I know it’s not this show’s fault in particular, but Royal Knights are overused to the point of annoyance. They’re in here, in the X-Evolution movie, in Xros Wars manga, in 2 Cyber Sleuth games, and I’m probably forgetting something. It’s getting so old. Also, where were these guys when Kurata was doing his thing? If your god is only good at destroying rather than saving, it might be time to find a new religion. |
