| MakoHaru is my OTP. They are so cute, and I love how in tuned they are to each other (especially considering how impassive/socially inept Haru is..) also sharing that ice last ep was a nice touch. Don't care much for the other pairings, but Rei and Nagisa are also cute. I was at comiket today and my head went woozy from all the amazing MakoHaru doujins sold there!! Considering the anime only started a month ago and how long I assume it takes to create a doujinshi of that level, I'm very impressed. It seems to be the most popular pairing in the Japanese fandom. I didn't get to go through everything, but except for one all-chara all the circles I spotted were MakoHaru, luckily for me (not so much for my wallet!). tl;dr I love MakoHaru ♥ |

My preeminent ship is Makoto :: Haruka, I feel as though their personalities really do complement each other and Makoto's character song mentions that he can always tell what Haru's thinking. It's obvious that they have a very close bond, and I think Makoto's caring and concerned personality is the best to manage Haru's less outgoing and more impulsive one. If they do stay friends, though, I don't have much of a problem with it. Regardless of romance or not, they are best friends. Hopefully whatever "relationship changes" that have been mentioned between the two of them in Eternal Summer won't negatively affect their friendship! Aside from that, I ship Rin :: Nitori because Rin seems to like him [ as a friend first and foremost ], even though he probably would only grudgingly admit it. As for Nitori, it's pretty obvious that he desires attention from Rin, and is very loyal to him. I also ship Nagisa :: Rei. I mean, look at those two goofs. They're perfect for each other ^^' Nagisa's bright, bubbly personality, and Rei with that dose of realism to keep him from running into a delusion of rainbows and sunshine. Ooh, with Momotarou on the scene, I can't say if I would like Gou with Seijuro or his younger brother. Momotarou is really adorable, I love his character so far. However, I honestly think Gou would be better off without either of them, since those relationships seem one-sided. Amakata :: Swimming Mackerelmore [ i.e. Goro Sasabe ]? Like Mikoshiba :: Gou, it seems pretty one-sided and I don't know how much development there would be to support this ship. |

| RinHaru. Even if Eternal Summer has a shitload of Sousuke/Rin moments I'd still rather slash Rin with Haru. HaruWater, this one is canon. NagiRei. In that order, too. Nagisa's true reasons for dragging Rei to join the swimming club were less than candid, I bet. MakoHaru is really sweet but I cannot help thinking it works better as one sided on Makoto's crush. Probably because making Mako-chan suffer is too easy. |
