Know someone why was Eiken canceled?
I mean there are 12 Volumes out.
There are only 6 Volumes to the end and then they broke eiken up.
Why have anime works not publish the last 6 Volume in a Omnibus version 3-1 Volumes?

Also is very hard to get the English Volumes of Eiken. They are really expensive now .

Well, anime works is one of those companies that try to cash in on niche things. Eiken has never been all that popular, getting 18 volumes was lucky since most harem manga have way more than that. They likely dropped it when they decided it wasn't making enough money. That or they went out of business I'm not sure.

They're expensive because they're out of print. Out of print stuff does that. PSone and Gamecube games for example can go for ridiculous prices sometimes. Some go over hundreds of dollars

This is because since they are no longer made, there are less copies and people know that if you want it enough you'll pay the outrageous prices because you won't find it cheaper.

Sorry, this is just how life works.

Ok thanks for the Info^^

But i mean the most harem manga dont have more than 18 Volumes?
I think Eiken is one of the longest harem manga. (ok in japan there are more longer Harem manga but the are very unknown i think)

Ok Psx games yes but i dont have seen a game Cube game for hundred or more dollars or euro.

Verry sad. So i must pay the prices for the other volumes.

Yeah you are right^^

You might be right about the volumes thing. I checked the info for Love Hina and it's only got 14, despite being one of the most well known examples. Still, Eiken only got a 2 episode OVA, so I can't imagine it being that popular.

Yeah, I've only seen a couple Gamecube games for about that much, though it's usually 30 or 40 bucks for just the disc in a generic case. But, that IS why people sell them for so much.

Yeah but look at other Manga.
Futari Ecchi has in japan 57 Volumes and is ongoing.
But there is not a long Anime I mean a 4 Episodes long OVA.
And there are a lot of other Manga the are popular but have only one ANime season or a short OVA.

And Eiken is more for Adults than Love Hina.

Actually no, it is a Shounen Manga. But yeah, it's still considered something fairly niche in the west at least, which is why only media blasters tried it. And they never seemed to have much integrity.

A Shounen manga?
I have think it was Seinen and the Monthly Magazine is a Seinen Magazin too or is this a Shounen magazine?
In Eiken is a lot more fansevice and Ecchi than in Love Hina.

Eiken was serialized in Weekly Shounen Champion.

In general ecchi/harem manga, regardless of content, are shounen. This is probably because its considered a fantasy only teenagers would really have(which is true for me, I've pretty much grown out of harem). Ecchi seinen manga tend to be of more substance.

Speaking of which, if you'd like a seinen manga/anime featuring huge boobs, look no further than Manyuu Hikenchou. It's probably my favourite ecchi anime because it actually has a surprisingly good plot(albeit a silly one) and features lots of big boobs and samurai action.

Media Blasters/Anime Works is not that large of a company. I believe the editor that worked on Eiken is no longer with the company, even. I would absolutely love to see Eiken come back, even if another company has to license it (I don't even know if Media Blasters still HAS the license). But they're definitely not as big as some of the other manga companies.

Also the manga is not expensive or hard to find. In fact during the last Right Stuf holiday sale, I believe they had 6-volume bundles for around $25 or so. They might stuff have individual volumes at discounted prices.
