| This is actually a pretty good episode, 1st half of the baseball scene was funny while second half was also hilarious XD, Characters breaking the 4th wall, didn't expect that. |

| It's getting better, I'm liking it a lot more now. There might be no fourth wall left, but we can just repair it using Kokonoe Corp. Claire's still creepy though, I won't be surprised if they make a joke about her being yandere for Karin sometime soon. Arlia said: Hmmm. | R.I.P. Fourth Wall... Wow, the comedy in this anime just got better in this episode! These girls were confusing me when they kept talking about episode 3 repeatedly. That is until Karin-chan pointed out that this is actually episode 4. You got me right there. I even re-checked the episode 4 to confirm if I was watching the wrong episode or what, lol. They did a really good job with that ED, even if it's mostly Botan-chan. Each of the girls need their own ED! The Kokonoe Corporation really is formidable... Andou Natsuki, hahaha! Good one! |
 "Going Home is Number One" 帰宅第一 . . Kitaku daiichi ( 94 x 94 pixel jpeg image found here: http://clubt.jp/shop/S0000040844.html ) You can see these four characters as a horizontal scroll hanging in their club room. Note that some horizontal scrolls (such as this one) are read from left to right, but some (typically the older ones) are read from right to left. Their vertical scroll says 帰 宅 道 (Kitaku-dō) and I don't know how to translate it. Looks beautiful though. In the bottom left of that scroll you can see something red. That is likely the stamp of the artist who did the calligraphy. In reality, the red stamp wouldn't be that big. For the horizontal scroll which says 帰宅第一, the red signature seal of the calligrapher is at the bottom right. - - - - - - - Neer said: I hope I wasn't the only one who was thinking something completely different when Botan got to her final hand signal. I was thinking, "You can't show a girl making THAT softball catcher signal in a Cute Girls Doing Cute Things anime series." Clearly they are working hard to push the boundaries for CGDCT far beyond what we have seen before. Don't forget that Episode 3 appeared to show Botan passing gas. So no doubt those five teenage girls heard a thing or two from their producers that fans were a bit displeased with their voice acting. Right now I think it's fine. |

| Hilarious episode. After a somewhat weak start to the series, it's shaping up nicely, I especially enjoyed how they sublimated the 4th wall. Also, SERVICE :D Yeah, I know. I'm sorry, I'm a pervert. That was a lie btw: Not sorry at all. |

I'm not necessarily annoyed with the voice acting; Natsuki's VA does a great job, the only thing I find a little irritating is how much she (the character) has to come in to shout that something doesn't make sense or to point out the obvious. That's my main issue with Natsuki's character; her voice actress does a good job with it though I have to admit. I think Claire's VA improved a lot compared to the beginning, where she sounded a bit... not too used to voicing a character, or unsure if what she was doing was right; she sounded too careful. Now she sounds more confident and comfortable, especially when she turned all dominatrix on us. |

| For some reason, I loved the part where they were talking about the fire drill. I found out that there is, in fact, this mnemonic "o ka shi" which is widely used in Japan to remember what to do. "Okashi" means "candy". Also, there are some extended versions containing as many as eight steps. Here is the 4-step version: o: Not pushing / osanai / 押さない ka: Not running / kakenai / 駆けない shi: Not talking / shaberanai / 喋らない mo: Not returning / modoranai / 戻らない You might wonder how "shi" can stand for "shaberanai", but it does. Also, all of these words are adjectives rather than imperatives. Karin couldn't quite remember what "shi" stood for, so she guessed "shinanai" (死なない) which means "not dying" or "immortal". | Hi Cratex. Thanks for those two great counterexamples. That Episode 3 of Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb is a perfect depiction of the fire and earthquake drills, based on what I was able to find out from YouTube. Oddly, I have never watched Hidamari Sketch before. Okay, so now I have to look for something else that is groundbreaking about Kitakubu. So here it is. There have been many, many, many anime series where they have "the baseball game episode". But I have never seen one where the ball doesn't get thrown at least once. |
