Fainting after the adrenaline had stopped pumping through her body, Diana bumps her head hard on a smooth stone.
Time passes, or so it seems to. Leaves float gently on the cold breeze. Wait...cold?
With a sneeze loud enough to wake the very mountains, Diana awakens suddenly and is completely dumbstruck to find the scene before her unfurl. The forest floor was now seamless marble and the trees were paper, with lines of text covering them from root to every tip of every branch. She felt that the writing was familiar but ultimately it was beyond her memory.
She stands, noticing that her shoes had gone missing, as well as all of her gold and her guns. Guess she was on her own in this strange place...

And so she walked the forest. In what direction? She was not certain. What she was certain of, though, was that she had to go this way, and so she kept going and going until she found that the trees had vanished and that everywhere she looked, there were books and bookshelves; it was as though she had entered a library from hell. I mean look at the place! It had holes in the floor leading to a blank abyss of no return and books and pages were flying everywhere! So Diana did the first thing that anyone in her situation would do....JUMP INTO THE ABYSS! DO IT DO IT DO IT!
And so she did. What came next was a surprise: there was no hole there! It was just paint. What a ripoff!
Fortunately, this anticlimactic moment was met with the sound of a slow clap from a figure with golden eyes and long, green hair.
"Oh...hello, Luna." Diana said to the girl, being answered with a silent wave.
"What's that? Speak up. I can't hear you." Diana jokes, being answered with only a rolling of the eyes.
"So is this your part of our brain?"
Luna nods.
"Figures...you always were more together than the rest of us."
Luna shrugs.
"Oh don't be so modest~ You could always keep track of everything even when we couldn't."
Luna blushes slightly and kicks the dirt. Well...she would would if there was dirt to kick. Then, Luna gets an idea. Soon, Diana is faced with large red, slightly on fire letters spelling out Luna's question:
"Do you want your memories back?"
Diana is slightly confused. "I haven't forgotten anything important."
Luna shakes her head and the letters vanish, being replaced with new ones "Do you want OUR memories back?"
Now Diana was really confused. What did Luna mean?
"I grow tired of our running, our hiding, from the truth. I will give you all of our memories, but what you do with them is up to you. Just promise me one thing." Luna explained.
"What is it?"
"Make us whole."
At that, Luna embraced Diana tightly, then her body contorted in pain as she was slowly being dissolved and absorbed into Diana. Diana's head is thrown back as she is assaulted by countless memories, both her own and those of the other personalities...and also of...
Diana woke up from her "dream" screaming uncontrollably...
(Diana and Luna have merged! Diana can now access the memories and experiences of her other personalities, but still can't use their unique skills. Her photographic memory has returned to her. But something is amiss...) |
