| It's interesting that out of the three versions that happen about the swamp encounter, none of them are really the same. The biggest changes occur when it comes time for Hisoka to go after our protagonists, I won't talk about what was changed in particular but when it concerns to that moment, this may be my favorite version of it. It's definitely between the anime versions for that particular moment. I think this was probably the best episode so far, mostly because of Hisoka. I still haven't been that impressed with this adaption but then again, my love for this series didn't really start until the second phase in the manga & the third phase for MH's. |
| Just when I thought Hisoka couldn't surprise me anymore, that shout of joy as he chased the applicants was priceless. I still prefer the heavy rape vibes that come with Namikawa Daisuke's voice in the remake, but Hisoka is still Hisoka and will keep things amusing no doubt. |

Still, interesting, plus arguably more realistic for what he is. |

| Damn I really should stop reading episode discussion comments, they spoil stuff for the 2011 version... I know that Hisoka is a popular character, but so far I don't see why. He just seems to be an asshole. |
| Hisoka’s nature got revealed, a kind of sadistic assassin, without other interests, as far. Gon explaining to Killua what happened was hilarious. |
