Not gonna lie, I definitely cried real hard during the graduation scene on episode 23. Like real bitch tears T_T. Not manly in the slightest. Did anyone else get that surge of feels? If not i'll just feel like a real loser :/

Do not fret. I cried ep 23 as well. HOW COULD YOU NOT! This is my all time favorite show (not series, for it was 1 season and i have not read manga). Will discuss more later, just dont wanna leave you hanging.

Holy crap, this show was good.

Like, really good.

I went in expecting an ecchi fest that the reviews somehow said had deep meaning and I got an incredibly well executed Romantic Dramady. The characters were great and had a ton of development, the animation looks great, and the music went between perfect for slice of life hijinks and heartbreakingly beautiful.

Also, I just finished the show this morning (since I'm sick, no school for me) and I too ended up crying at the Graduation scene with Misaki's speech. First time an Anime made me shed tears.

This show was amazing, and I'm really glad we decided to watch it even though it took a bit of time.

I'm going to keep is short and sweet, because I have too much to say about Sakurasou. Best season of anime I have ever seen (granted I haven't watched too much anime). This slice of life drama dug deep into the lives of the talented residents of the dorm, and really showed what sets them apart from others. While talent and natural ability are more rare, anybody can work hard to achieve a goal. Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY can experience failure. Even when we give it our all. This anime gives us 3 major perspectives on how people deal with failure in Sorata, Mashiro, and Aoyoma. Sorata is trying to find his way in life while it appears everybody around him is better, without trying as hard. The pressure is killing him. Aoyoma is giving her all and risking her precious time to go for her dream. Yet she doesn't have enough natural talent to easily reach her goal. Mashiro is fighting to live the life she wants, with everybody reassuring her and not just looking at her like some genius. Her achievements are only recognized as "classic Shiina" and are not praised. We connect to the three of them in many ways. And the other residents are amazing as well. It's not about where you are at the moment, it's about where you are gonna end up, and how you plan to get there. The pacing of the story needed a little work, but overall I loved it. You have no soul if you didn't cry at the graduation ceremony. Praying for season 2.
There is so much more I can say.
But for now, I will say that I do know what color I want to be.
