I'm thinking it's about time to give up on a second series.

Seems to be growing more and more evident.

It's unfortunate because these OVAs tend to be hit-or-miss, and are always rushed.

Wait what? They're jumping to those fights?
What happened to DDD tournament? Kenichi vs Boris? vs Tirawit? vs Ethan? And a ton of other arcs and fights?
At least they could have animated Shigure's backstory since they animated Appachai's. The previous OVAs were still animating the chapters that directly follow the TV series and then a big jump to these. Just...wow.

Second season is pretty much impossible now huh. At least we're still getting these OVAs I guess. It should be next to impossible to see these fights even get animated as these are in the 490+ chapter range.

And I believe it's Lugh. At least that's how scanlators translate the name.

What a pain why don't they just make a second season already and be done with it

My thoughts exactly.
It's natural for a person to deny he's a failure as a human being. That's why he searches for somebody who is more miserable than himself. That's why so much animosity exists on the internet. Those who aren't able to find a more miserable person, turn to the internet and call other people losers, even though they've never met. Just to make themselves feel superior. Isn't that pathetic? There's a sense of security that comes from speaking badly of someone else. But that isn't true salvation. — Tatsuhiro Satou

Making one OVA is clearly much cheaper than making 12-13 episodes for a season. Besides this bundling clearly benefits the sales of the manga. If you think about the business not just your own preference it should not be hard to understand.
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

The business side of anime strikes again.

Wtf? This is plain stupid.

They should either animate everything, or nothing.

It is "plain stupid" when you failed to think about money and cost.

Yeah, if it costs nothing in terms of any resource from staff to money to time to rent and every operating expense, why not animate everything, but do you think we are living in such a happy world? And please tell me why animating nothing is better given the fact that you are not paying for it anyway (if you have been buying the manga, then pardon me).

Also, if everything is getting animated it wouldn't be an OVA any longer.
