Dat snow! Loved how everyone connected this episode
A little fan service this episode but I didn't mind it.

Ooh and race too. Cool. The slight snow is also kinda pretty I guess.

I chuckled at their way of changing clothes in a dressing room.

It's understandable how Chisaki and Hikari felt. They each had warned her in advance, yet Manaka was still a bit insensitively nosy to them though it was due to her good intention to care about them. Hopefully she won't turn out an excessive crybaby cuz it might make the show a cheesy tearjerker. Being a crybaby itself could be an attractive feature, but excessiveness might cause an adverse effect.

The marine snow scene was impressive visual-wise.

Such an emotionally powerful ending to that episode.

It started out with me thinking it would be stupid. Why would people from the sea, who can breathe underwater and whose clothes are as suited for water as their bodies, need swimsuits? Or time tests?

But then it brought up things that I should have realised from the start. Like the chlorinated water of swimming pools not being the same as the saltwater of the sea. Or them not doing standard strokes like front crawl.

Then Hikari hurt himself. I've had a similar incident before now, and every second I was reminded of that, the pain and discomfort not just from the actual injury itself but of just looking at it.

Somehow from there it swept around into the emotional side of things. Chisaki and Kaname seem to have their share of admirers from surface dwellers, some of whom have decided to help out rebuilding the Ojoshi-sama, along with the original creators and the two who had brought about its destruction.

But tension's building between the characters, particularly with regards to Chisaki and Manaka. And then Hikari sees Manaka with Tsumugu in a situation uncomfortably reminiscent of the one where Hikari found out about his sister dating Miuna's father.

Of course, their actions were totally innocent, though, and Manaka returns to the sea, dragging Chisaki out of her depression to see the tomoebi, fulfilling a promise from long ago.

And then, in front of those three suns...
"If only the Ojoshi-sama wouldn't be completed..."
"Wh-Why?"
"Then it'd always be summer. Then we can all still be building the Ojoshi-sama. We could be together forever. Always playing together, and going to school, and talking."
"But..."
"I thought things didn't need to change, and I don't want to change."
"You don't want to change?"
"That may not be possible. It might be hard. But even then... I don't want to change. I always want to be together."

With that slightly quaint echo... I get the feeling that if I come back to that scene later, it will tear my heart out. In some ways, it already is.

Pretty good episode.

Mainly Manaka development. With some exploration into Chisaki's feelings.

Manaka's nosiness was understandable but still, was quite annoying -.-

Hikari had some of his usual jealousy outbursts this ep. Still got a long way I see hehe.

And did I just see Miuna blushing to him...O_o?...I thought she'd start liking him as a brother or sth like that but seems like she's fallen for him! Loli love XD I ship them ^^ :P

Loved the visuals in the last scene. It was really beautiful. And a nice touch how Hikari and Kaname were just looking at it without them knowing so :)
Made it more touching.

Well, still lots of development to happen, but we have lots of eps so all in its time.

My brain might have been malfunctioned.

I found Chisaki amazingly annoying in this episode. Like seriously ?! Manaka was trying to fucking help you , don't just cut the line and gtfo from the scene. Respect , your mother didn't teach you that ? Oh wait , she don't have the time to , she was busy asking you to post some mail right. Yea , go away it's near 4 o'clock already. JKJKJK.

The scenery in the last scene was superbly amazingly executed , really nice , beautiful , wise quotes by Chisaki. Great episode.

To teach viewers courage and the meaning of justice! No matter how many enemies there are. No matter how strong evil is. Just remember. Does any another country have so many heroes? Has any another country been protected by multiple superheroes? Stand with me, friends! Remember when you used to watch your superheroes!

Lovely ending to this episode. The animation was splendid.

Nice seeing that the group is starting to get along well with the surface students. Also with Miuna and Sayu.
Tsumugu before that swimming scene reminded me of Haruka from Free! lol

Manaka was really forcing it this episode. Although Chisaki asked her to forget, all she's really doing is making things more uncomfortable for Chisaki. I really don't like how she kept calling out to Chisaki whenever an awkward situation with Hikari would come up. I get that Manaka is just trying to help, but she needs to take a step back and try to undestand how Chisaki feels about what she's doing.
However, what she did at the end was nice. What Chisaki said was touching.

This episode brought forth more of that anonatsu-feel.

I can understand manaka trying to help chisaki, but I can also understand chisaki not wanting the help. That can only end in tears.

Also, I liked how the group for that festival magically more than doubled in size.
The guys were obviously there for chisaki and have gotten over the fact that she's a sea dweller. I don't care if fish or pig, I just wanna stick in my... btw, loved the lolis hiding in that bush. And Kename's admirer is cute, too.

Looks like there will be more tears next episode.

The drama once again didn't add anything, but otherwise I quite liked this episode. I've gone from despising the characters to actually kinda enjoy them, which is neat.

This show could use just a little less drama, although as I said before, it's expected of Okada Mari. I'm fine with it so far but I can see how it might seem excessive for others.

Anyways, I really like how all the resolutions of the problems/conflicts in this show, the problems always seem somewhat overblown (not that it's a terrible thing, they're honestly still young and are still learning to cope with their emotions), they are always solved in a simple manner, which I really like. The tomoebi was a really mesmerizing scenery, and I liked the bgm during that scene. Although I think there will still be some conflict between Chisaki and Manaka in the future, at least they've reconciliated. Also, Tsumugu is always a great help, I like how he told Manaka that he understands why Chisaki had been mad in the past over what may not see like a big deal to most people.

So the love polygon problem will be set aside next episode as Akari's problem hasn't been fixed yet...Uroko-sama is very mysterious and interesting, so I'll be looking forward to it.

This episode actually made me like Chisaki more than I did already. We got a deeper look into her character than we had had before, for sure, although most of what we saw in this episode had at least been alluded to or hinted at previously. You may not like what you saw, but I personally did.

There's so many characters that I like nowadays, though. I'm starting to think that maybe even having a top 60 favourite characters list isn't sufficient anymore...

They didn't actually meet. Plus Tsumugu was already returning after dropping Manaka off. Plus Tsumugu had stopped earlier while dropping off his grandpa, who he would have had to have picked up in the first place...

Why are the visuals so breathtaking? This reminded me of a scene near the end of Shinsekai Yori, and all I could say was "wow..." I'm pretty neutral to the story, but the visuals are top notch. Easily one of the most visually pleasing anime I've ever seen.

Hikari X Miuna totally needs to happen by the time this show is over... unless my Shinsekai Yori alarm, which has been triggered since episode one, is correct and things go very wrong very soon that is.

Yes please, they'd make a cute couple (even if it means he's a dolicon :D )

It'd be funny to feed that to akari though:

Hey sis, you know miuna? Your adopted daughter (basically)?
Yes, why...?
I'm seeing her.
