| Wow, good for Chi-chan and Oda. How many times has Daiki tried to tell Mao? I had a feeling he wouldn't do it this time either. But he's finally got Mao thinking about the possibility of him liking her. |

I don't support them but she needed to know... By the way, I want to see Daiki and Hiro's friend from work. | :3 yay OdaxChichan ship has sailed at last, i really glad that Oda was actually liked her too, but too scared to confessed since he thought he was hurting her before. As for Daiki, i still curious about his confess tho.. |

| Ahh.... I feel so happy now, the happiest I've felt in a long, long time when reading a manga. I almost forgot what it was like to feel this way, but yeah... I'm going to sleep with the warmest smile on my face after I type out these few sentences. In this chapter, Oda's embarrassed silence at the mall spoke louder than words. It wasn't simply confessing to Chihiro that had him on edge. Inside his mind was a whirlwind of different emotions and realizations - his romantic feelings for Chi-chan, that he was finally moving on from Mao, that he had to let go of Daiki's taunt about Mao at the mall (Daiki's amazing for realizing this would actually help Oda by solidifying his feelings), wondering how Chihiro felt about him, wrestling with the guilt he's had over hurting her, and wondering whether it was even right for him in the first place to confess after everything he'd done. I thought those manga panels did a wonderful job at conveying there was so much going on underneath the surface of Oda, while the context of the panels skillfully gave form to those hidden sensibilities. Oda's resolve also happened right after Chihiro's heartfelt conversation with Daiki about being straightforward with one's feelings, and Oda having witnessed some of it honestly gave rise to such a fitting and perfect confession scene. And seeing Chihiro struggle for so many chapters about her unrequited love for it to be finally reciprocated here (especially after a period of long-wrought character growth) was amazing to experience; the artwork displayed her joy so well. As for Oda, although his feelings underwent changes more subtly and behind the scenes, his confession here didn't feel abrupt, but real and from the heart. Huh, I can't believe I'm saying this, but like the person above me said, congratulations Chi-chan and Oda-kun - you two deserve so much happiness! Somehow it just feels right to congratulate them. And Daiki..... try your best. No matter the outcome, you'll be okay in the end. |
