| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow, I've never seen Team Rocket put up a fight like that. That Wobbuffet countering attacks left and right. And that Inkay was also fighting well. Inkay being a Pokemon of TR seems to be intentional with how its Japanese name fits well with the blastoff. And seems like Eureka's proposals will be like those moments with Brock and Citron will be the one to pull her off just like Misty/Max/Croagunk did in the previous season. Tomatsu Haruka as Jessica is nice. On to the Miare Gym and Citron's secret, which is painfully obvious(at least to those who played the game). No shipping hints, for now. We can't have them every single episode I guess. Not that I'm expecting the romance to go anywhere in this season. Ash is as dense as Ichika. |

| Although there has been an episode to fill, I liked all the suction and excitement that was in the episode, in the part of the battle against Team Rocket. It was great to see fight in obeying the voice of Pikachu Ash, even though he had a dirty face and was at a disadvantage, it was certainly one of the best performances happened in the XY series. Not only highlighted by the battle episode was also funny with the stupid wig and sensual Wobbuffet, so let a representative of what made me laugh more gif: A good episode, really. |

It would be too soon for the next gym battle, and he is the 5th gym leader anyway. But regardless, the gym battle against him will be an interesting one, he will be the first gym leader Ash traveled with longer before fighting him. Citron will know all his Pokémon and their fighting style. |
| Did y'all think that Pokemon XY has gotten a tad more violent? XD The human characters other than Team Rocket are getting hurt now. - Eureka gets her knees scrapped - Officer Jenny(sp?) gets hit by Manetric's Thunderbolt It's pretty cool that they're getting hurt in a serious way that isn't comedic. And damn Ash. The way he used Pikachu in this battle was sooo impressive. The battle was choreographed very well too. |
| The battle Ash Vs TR was good, TR battling a lot better than previously seen. It'll be a while for the 2nd Gym battle, at least 5 more episodes of random stuff before then, just as in the game itself, it's a long journey from the 1st to the 2nd gym. Other than all that, the episode was average I guess. |

| Nice fighting Ash!! good to see that they remember that pikachu trust him unconditionally. Rest of the episode was standard introduce gamemechanic that involves a pokemon. thought it was interesting to see that Jenny used a Manetric. About the whole '' crappy'' subs, while they might have been perfect you at least could make a crude outline with them, and since this is pokemon most of the time you dont need the dialogue to solve the plot or to understand what the aim is. Also no one forced you to watch it. We all knew that Pocketmonsters would sub it eventually so its not like that he was the sole subpokemon outlet. Fastsubbers for instant access, slower fansubbers for perfection. |

| Furfrou got wonderful! Her trainer made a fantastic work :) Now Ash and his friends are going to Luminose. By the way, what Clemont and Bonnie are hiding from Ash? This is a quite mysterious.... -.- Well I guess I'll find out on next episode. |

| How did Ash not recognise Team Rocket? they sounded the same, looked pretty much the same. He's such a dope sometimes. I liked the cool Furfrou makeovers though. They looked better styled than normal. |

| Pretty "chill out" episode compare to the previous ones.. So this episode main focus is Furfrou with the whole grooming things.. While nice it's a little bit boring IMO, but it's executed well anyway and like some people said before, this episode Team Rocket doing pretty well instead of get insta KO as usual, lel.. I guess Serena still haven't sure which "career" she will choose for the later of the stories.. We used to have pokemon coordinator in gen 3&4 so i hope they made something similar in this generation since IIRC we don't have anything like that in the game so probably the anime have to make some new "career" Overall a good episode.. looking forward to see the next ones.. 4/5 |

| I still can't get around the fact that Jenny and Joy looked so different from usual. Are they even the twins from the past regions we've seen? Also, wow... Team Rocket is getting more awesome but still used as "bad" I hoped Team Rocket can get some shining moments. |

| episode about furfrou, oh well, though to be kinda boring it at least adapting idea from the game. love the ash x pikachu chemistry, XY is best so far in battle writing and animating. (though i wish it would be less like the game mechanic) |
| Lmao Wobbuffet parading around was hilarious, always loved the Pokemon. Also it was cool to see Ash work so well with Pikachu despite it being blinded. |
