As the title says i want to start watching the Ghost in the shell series and to start i have to watch the first movie, but there is a remake and i was wondering if i can watch 2.0 version instead of the original to still get the full glory of it since i prefer new animation and older animation may reduce my enjoyment or is original superior to 2.0 version?

The original. Always the original.

The only "new" that the 2.0 version brings is a different color scheme (blues and greens are now yellows and reds) and scenes of pointless CGI. I'm not just talking about CGI in the background and for vehicles and stuff, i'm talking about actual CGI *replacing* originally cel-animated characters for a few sequences. It's really jarring and pointless.

Go with the original if you can!
