| well thru the whole show it seemed like only a select few knew Taiga. I would really like to see the friendship that Minorin has with here long before anyone else does. They way they make it sound, they were like best friends and stuff. If this was not the case then why was Minorin in Taigas business in the first place. Last a great Idea for a Second season would be to follow Kitamaru to America. Does he end up with the Old Class President? |

Definitely =D But wasn't After Story part of the original story as well? They released an official light novel of it way before the anime right? But in this case, the light novel did end at the 10th volume. Unless of course, Yuyuko Takemiya decides to write up a Toradora! After Story, which I want to add that I would definitely go way way out of my way to get xD And back on topic, did anyone get the part Ami asked Minorin if she had stopped feeling guilty? I don't quite understand that part per se... |

| I disagree with why Minori snaps. I don't think her feelings for Ryuji were ever anything significant, no more than a very, VERY mild crush that she herself was confused about, so it was probably because she just got irritated by how Taiga has already acknowledged her own feelings to herself, but still tries to keep up her front. Otherwise I agree with everything. It's been a while since I've seen it, but I don't think Minori ever had the urge to "confess" to ryuji, so she wasn't hiding behind anything. She might feel a little guilty for the inkling of romantic attraction she was developing for him, but I think she explained that it's pretty tame. Minori doesn't make sense to me unless she's bisexual or lesbian, but still in the closet. I know that's probably not how her character was intended to be, since it's taboo in anime, or at least niche, to have true gay characters (who aren't simply confused), but it doesn't make much sense to me how she's never shown interest in guys even when she longs for romance. |

Had always liked Ryuuji (like she said). B. In part, wouldn't admit to liking Ryuuji because of her loyalty to/concern for Taiga. Maybe she also felt guilty for liking someone whom she believed Taiga needed. C. HOWEVER... the reason she doesn't confess to Ryuuji is not solely because of (B). Whether aware of it or not, she was using her loyalty to Taiga as an excuse not to face her own emotions (love for Ryuuji, fear of what would happen among the circle of friends if she confessed, concern for losing the focus needed for her dream of becoming the best softball player, etc). I felt like that's why her confrontation with Taiga was the extremely emotional, look-like-I'm-gonna-go-Wataganashi-on-you-Higurashi-style crazyness that it was. Minorin now knew Ryuuji was in love with Taiga, and vice versa. She had lost her chance, and it was her own fault for not facing up to her emotions. So, in the classroom, when she saw Taiga making the same mistake (trying to run away from her true feelings), she snapped. What she yelled at Taiga were probably the words that she wished she had screamed at herself. And, being the great friend that she is, she also didn't want Taiga to repeat her mistakes. Minorin and Ami reminded me of one another to some extent because both used words and "masks" to hide /camoflauge their true feelings. I loved that they stuck together in the last few episodes - I think Ami was the best person to comfort Minorin, because she could understand her the most. :) you couldn't have said it better. i believe you hit it right one the head. wise words indeed. |
