Wow. I am suprised by the difference in the art style of this manga, and the anime..
Was the manga supposed to be shoujo? because in my opinion, the anime didn't much romance.

Yeah, the Tokyo Majin franchise definitely doesn't have consistency in its artwork. The original videogame in 1998 has a much more square, masculine look, while I do believe the manga was supposed to be more shoujou; that, and it was drawn by a woman, so it has a feminine style. The anime came away with cool, edgy artwork, and the best in my opinion!!

I agree with you there. The anime didn't focus on the romance aspects of the sub-plots, and had a lot more action... yet for some reason, everyone came away with nothing to talk about except who Aoi should fall in love with (which doesn't even get that much attention in the manga, either). Geh~ o_O Personally, I love the awesome fight scenes!!
