| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I had started suspecting last week that this entire story arc would fit in nicely with the City Hunter storyline despite the fact that Angel Heart is supposed to be an alternate reality. This episode pretty much supports that (at least to my limited CH knowledge) with Ryo offering Hideyuki a part to play in the City Hunter job. Having Kaori choose Ryo’s name becomes icing on the cake. I said a few weeks ago that it’s the Shanin/Ryo/Kaori relationship that has me keeping with this series, and this is the perfect example of why. Honestly, I really hadn’t expected this series to include so many feel-good ending style episodes. |

| This episode was great! I loved it~! It added so much backstory and character development to their relationships which is something that was lacking in the city hunter series since it focuses more on its comedic element. This episode really touched my heart ;'( |

| This was so beautiful. So here Kaori knew she was adopted, and devoted herself to Makimura because she didn't want to be alone, she wanted to keep having a brother. On the other hand Ryou was utterly alone, a "stray," but Kaori saved him, she even gave him his name. I liked how he showed interest in her from the start, and that Makimura was the original City Hunter. He was someone with a really strong sense of justice who ended up being reckless and worrying his sister. But after that meeting Ryou was there for them, just like they were there for him. Beautiful. |
