According to the official website, an extra episode of Kurokami will be included in the final volume of Blu-ray/DVD. A preview of the episode titled "Side Story: Tora to Tsubasa (Tiger and Wing)" will be held on August 9th at Young GanGan Fes.

Synopsis of the episode:
Half a year after the battle in Okinawa, Excel was looking for a new Motosumitama to revenge on Reishin. Excel met Mikami and decided to contract with her. Before making the contract, Excel looked back the encounter with Steiner.

O great that changed everything, now i might consider getting it...
If they pay me for that...

(seriously how are they hoping to sell that garbage? Considering every sane person will better save up the money to buy next volume of Kurokami manga, instead of bothering with the dvds of this bad adaptation)

idk i like the show but i hate any episodes with flashbacks, even if they do tell some of the storyline i just skip through them cause its usually, like this episode, just about how someone met eachother

Kids obviously. But yes, I'd buy the manga above the DVD's any day aswell.
Although to be fair, the series wasn't that bad in it's own right, it still had it's moments now and then, but it just drowns among all the other standard action series.
That doesn't change the fact that it just fails as an adaptation though.

Excel was definitely one of the better characters in the series. I'll go for this.

Half a year after the battle of Okinawa generally implies that the end of Kurokami is the battle of Okinawa. Sounds interesting, I should resume watching the anime..

people are hating it cause they never watched an anime where the original creator is korean.

but i like the manga better, since i can only find shitty dubs with annoying Laura Bailey's voice.

I find the hate on the anime unfair. yes it started bad but the second half picked up a lot. I still have 2 episodes to go though, but i have been enjoying it quite a bit now. I usually don't like series like it though so guess it surprised me a bit. And for this extra ep, sounds like a good idea. They definitely didn't put enough into the event so will be good to see a whole episode on it. As well as Excel is awesome.

Its perfectly fair to hate anime which was a butchered version of great manga.

They made a great story into a silly action anime which was 1/2 serious and 1/2 sailormoon parody.

this is something i tend to disagree with though. I mean i can't say it's wrong that people are annoyed that they ruined something from a manga, however i find it unfair that people seem to sometimes completely judge an anime on how good it was 'compared' to the manga, instead of judging it on how good the anime is itself. I just don't think you can judge something fairly by comparison.

Judging it without comparing it to manga, does not change the fact that it was generic action anime consisting of 1/2 of sailormoon parodies and 1/2 of half-serious plot.

Even without being compared to manga, kurokami anime DROWNS in comparison of other action series released before or at the same time as kurokami.

Exactly... and than you see that the source itself was great and it's just /facepalm all round. What next? Turn Unbalance X Unbalance into Love Hina?

Some could say this, I don't tend to usually care for typical shounen series like Kurokami. But when you think about it they all seem to be series that just go on, and on...., and on. They just get too damn long. At least Kurokami aint dragging itself out for hundreds of episodes.

I'm not saying the series is great, but i have been enjoying it.

I second that.

For me anime it's all about enjoyment, after I enjoyed it enough I will focus on the other details. Also this anime was great for me (I haven't read the manga) so I'm guessing everybody that "hates" this "butchered manga version" has readed it??? What about the people who haven't???

Yea i haven't read the manga (well i barely read manga in general) and it makes watching anime better cause i don't compare it all the time to it's original source. Oh and btw you quoted the wrong person :P

I read the manga first, and while the anime pales in comparison to the manga, the anime itself was not all that bad. It's called "The Animation" because it was planned to go in a different direction from the beginning, similar to FMA. Heck, I enjoyed the first FMA anime too despite the change.
