Synopsis

In an age of magic and sorcery, the world is divided between those who have supernatural powers and those who don't. Fighting for justice and against black magic and evildoers everywhere are the Sorcerer Hunters: Gateau, Carrot, Chocolat, Mocha, and the rest of the gang. Their quest is to destroy each of the Platina stones- the objects the evil sorcerers use for creating their black magic - in an entertaining mix of farce and adventure.

Background

Bakuretsu Hunters was published in English as Sorcerer Hunters by Tokyopop from February 1, 2000, to December 3, 2002. The publisher later reprinted the series under the title Sorcerer Hunters 100% Authentic Format, rereleasing the first 10 volumes. The first 11 volumes were also published in Italian by Comic Art from July 1998 to July 1999.

I am a huge fan of this series so expect a very bias response.

The characters of this series are an interesting mix even if their names are all based off of food. Their relationships between them all add to the on going theme of the entire series.

The plot of this manga is fun though it does deviate from it alot for amusement sake. Alot of things come out of the blue, the history of which is given briefly and vaguely.

I just loved the characters, they kept me interested and their progress throughout drew me into the story. The ending some may not ...
