Second Cours of 'Osomatsu-san' to be Broadcast in Winter 2016

The official Twitter account of the currently airing TV anime Osomatsu-san announced that a second cours of the series will be broadcast from January 2016. TV Tokyo will continue the current broadcast, with other networks to be announced later.

Osomatsu-san was created to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the birth of mangaka Fujio Akatsuka, who died in 2008. Known as the king of gag manga, Akatsuka drew the award-winning series Osomatsu-kun between 1962 and 1990.

The thing MAL often mistakes for seasons. Recent examples are AZ and Fafner Exoddus. They have one season each, just aired split cours missing a season.

Not at all. Osomatsu-san is pretty much episodic. By the third or fourth episode, you'll be able to tell all the characters apart.

Not really. The remake is pretty much anime original where the characters are now in their mid-20s

Plus there are no english subs for the older versions so...

Unless the logo is changed for the second cour, there's no confirmation of it being separate.

It's still the second cour. But it shouldn't be season 2 of the show. But as mentioned in this thread, it's queued up and will eventually be changed.
