J.C.Staff Produces 'Machikado Mazoku' TV Anime Adaptation

The TBS animation booth at this year's AnimeJapan event announced main staff members for the Machikado Mazoku (Street Corner Demon) anime series on Saturday. The anime adaptation of Izumo Ito's comedy slice of life manga will be produced by J.C.Staff and will air on TBS and BS-TBS networks.

Staff
Director: Hiroaki Sakurai (Kaichou wa Maid-sama!)
Series Composition: Keiichirou Ohchi (Hinamatsuri)
Character Design: Mai Ootsuka (Non Non Biyori)

Ito launched the 4-koma manga in Manga Time Kirara Carat as a guest series in the August and September 2014 issues before it began regular serialization in the November issue of that year. Houbunsha shipped the fourth compiled volume in October 2018.

How many times are we going to go through this? This all feels really self-destructive. No matter how many works J.C. Staff takes on, if they don't have the proper staff to handle them all, then it's all meaningless. It's just guaranteed to look like shit at this point.

That looks good but I'm still leery after Date A Live III. Please make this good as well even if it has to be delayed into Fall.

Oh, this seems like an interesting mix of genres(Comedy, Magic and Slice of Life). Solid staff at that, too. Looking forward to this!

Looking forward to more announcements from the AnimeJapan2019 event, on the other hand! Sadly, I’ll be missing out on it today but hopefully I’ll be able to watch it tomorrow and the day after. For those who’re wondering how, it’s on YouTube streaming of the official Kadokawa channel.

lol JC Staff have like 11 anime projects for this year so far, this studio is overloaded with work and thats why their animation quality is poor
