'Prima Doll' Reveals Additional Staff, First Promo for Summer 2022

The Prima Doll special stage at the NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan booth at AnimeJapan 2022 revealed additional staff and the first promotional video on Sunday. The original television anime by visual novel studio Key will premiere in July 2022.

Chat Noir—an unit formed by the five lead voice actresses—will perform the opening theme "Tin Toy Melody," as well as the insert song Yumesaki Hare Butai.

Tenshou (Azur Lane) is directing the anime series at Bibury Animation Studios, with Touya Okano (Kaginado) and Kai (Rewrite) handling the series composition and script. Akane Yano (Choujin Koukousei-tachi wa Isekai demo Yoyuu de Ikinuku you desu!) is serving as the character designer and chief animation director.

Going off the webnovel. expect 70% moe SOL and the other 30% to be serious drama.

The setting is similar to Violet Evergarden's, it's post-war. Most of the time now is happy and cute but almost all of the girls have very sad backstories relating to it.

I'm going to watch that special stage, anyway the visuals are nice, and it's Key, so the balance of feels and cuteness will be alright.

It looks and sound like a super unimpressive CGDCT anime. If there's no underlying plot or hook I think I'm out.

I don't like CGDCT even if it's by Key. A little bit disappointed but I'm still hoping that it's more than catch the eyes.

Yeah no, I don’t trust KEY anime anymore. Just give me at least a decent not rushed adaptation of SamaPoke.
