'Boushoku no Berserk' Reveals Main Staff, Additional Cast, Fall 2023 Debut [Update 7/16]

The Crunchyroll Industry Panel at Japan Expo revealed the main staff and an supporting cast for the television anime adaptation of Ichika Isshiki's Boushoku no Berserk (Berserk of Gluttony) light novel on Saturday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2023.

Hisako Toujou (Shakunetsu no Takkyuu Musume, Animegataris) is joining the cast as Roxy Heart.

Series Composition: Mariko Kunisawa (Honzuki no Gekokujou, Housekishou Richard-shi no Nazo Kantei)
Character Design: Takafumi Furusawa (Edens Zero animation director, Toaru Kagaku no Accelerator animation director)
Studio: A.C.G.T.

Isshiki began penning the action fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in January 2017 before transferring it to Kakuyomu in March 2022. Micro Magazine began publishing the series under its GC Novels imprint in November 2017, featuring illustrations by fame. The eighth volume was released in October 2022.

Daisuke Takino began drawing a manga adaptation on Micro Magazine's Comic Ride website in March 2018. The tenth volume shipped on April 27.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the novel and manga in English in July 2020. The seventh light novel and eighth manga volume went on sale in October 2022 and July 4, respectively.

Vocal unit EverdreaM (Rokudou no Onna-tachi) is performing both the opening and ending theme.

I read the manga for this it's pretty fun and has some good mysteries I hope they do good with the anime.

I'll probably check it out but I ain't gonna lie...I saw the word Berserk and got overly excited for a min and knew it was too good to be true lol

I find it ironic that not only do LNs like this look very old-fashioned, but even their adaptations look like something out of the 00s.
