'Pokemon' Net Anime Series 'Houkago no Breath' Announced for September 6

The Pokemon Presents livestream announced on Tuesday a new original net anime, titled Houkago no Breath (Pokémon: Paldean Winds), revealing the main cast and staff. The four-episode original net anime is set to premiere on September 6 on the official YouTube channel.

Pocket Monsters, localized under the title of Pokemon, was created by Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori in 1995. Game Freak and Nintendo published the first game in the franchise in 1996 on GameBoy. Since then, multiple adaptations have spawned, including the latest anime series by OLM and several manga adaptations, with Pocket Monsters Special (Pokemon Adventures) being the most notable.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is the ninth generation in the main series, which was released worldwide on November 22 on Nintendo Switch. The games sold 10 million units during the first three days of launch and 22 million copies by March 2023.

Only the girl is directly indicated as the protagonist, but it confuses me that if this is a guy, then out of context you could still tell me that this is a tomboy and nothing would bother me.

I'm confused, is the character with the pigtail a boy or an ikemen onna? And why this particular format? This could be a good spin-off to the current Pokémon, as it's similar to the events in the same school.

Looks like it will be another beautifully animated, albeit underdeveloped short. I'll watch it, but I just wish they'd do a full-fledge 12 episode 21 minute length series to flesh out some of these newer regions.
