Second Season of 'Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei suru' Announced

A second season of the Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei suru (The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat) television anime was announced at the Sneaker Bunko 35th Anniversary Festa! event on Sunday.

The first anime season co-produced by Silver Link., Studio Palette aired in 12 episodes in Fall 2021. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with subtitles and subsequently with an English dub.

The anime series, also known by its short title Ansatsu Kizoku, adapts Rui Tsukiyo's action fantasy light novel, which he began penning on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in July 2018. Kadokawa began printing the novel under its Sneaker Bunko label with illustrations by Reia in February 2019 and shipped the seventh volume last August. Ansatsu Kizoku has a cumulative 1.4 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

Hamao Sumeragi began drawing a manga adaptation on the Young Ace UP web magazine in January 2019. Kadokawa shipped the sixth volume on July 10.

Yen Press licensed both the light novel and manga adaptation in English in July and August in 2020. The seventh light novel volume and fifth manga volume went on sale on July 18 and May 23, respectively.

Wow wasn't expecting this.

This was the first light novel that I read before watching the anime.
I remember reading it before it even came out.

Now I read way ahead from where the anime finished, so I wonder to what point the anime is going to adapt through.

^I also like how even the isekai hater is happy about this one lol

At this point, there's only a reason to get surprised if an isekai does NOT get a second season at all.

Good news, I enjoyed the anime enough to go read the LN, which has a pacing that is very unsual for LNs, so very easy to read, and I m expecting it this sequel to keep it as enjoyable and perhaps adding those original scenes that made the anime really stand out alone too!
