'Ao no Miburo' Reveals Additional Cast, First Promo

The official website of the Ao no Miburo (The Blue Wolves of Mibu) television anime revealed additional cast members, key visual (pictured), and first promotional video on Monday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2024 at 5:30 p.m. on YTV and NTV.

Shinpachi Nagakura: Kenjirou Tsuda (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Sanosuke Harada: Ryouta Iwasaki (Boku no Hero Academia 3rd Season)
Keisuke Yamanami: Kengo Kawanishi (Kimetsu no Yaiba)
Heisuke Toudou: Kikunosuke Toya (Chainsaw Man)
Genzaburou Inoue: Noriaki Sugiyama (Naruto)
Nishiki Niimi: Yuuichirou Umehara (Goblin Slayer)
Kenji Noguchi: Tomohiro Ono (Tomodachi Game)
Juusuke Hirama: Yuu Maeda (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta...)
Gorou Hirayama: Kenji Nomura (Golden Kamuy)
Granny: Sayuri Sadaoka (Kanojo, Okarishimasu)
Iroha Chirinu: Yuuko Natsuyoshi (Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha)

Kumiko Habara (100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru) is directing the anime at Maho Film. Kenta Ihara (Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu) is handling the series composition. Yuuko Ooba (Level 1 dakedo Unique Skill de Saikyou desu) and Miyako Nishida (Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni.) are designing the characters. Yuuki Hayashi (Boku no Hero Academia) is composing the music.

The anime adapts Tsuyoshi Yasuda's historical samurai manga, which began in Weekly Shounen Magazine in October 2021. Kodansha will publish the 14th volume on July 17.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English and released the second volume on May 28. The third volume is scheduled to go on sale on August 27.
