Second Season of 'Mato Seihei no Slave' Announces Main Staff

The official website for the Mato Seihei no Slave (Chained Soldier) television anime series announced the main staff for the second season on Saturday.

The first season produced by Seven Arcs aired in 12 episodes during Winter 2024. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime and simulcast it on HIDIVE.

The anime adapts Takahiro and Youhei Takemura's action fantasy manga, which began serialization on Shounen Jump+ web magazine in January 2019. Shueisha published the 16th volume on July 4.

Yen Press licensed the manga in English in December 2021. The seventh volume shipped on April 16, with the eighth volume scheduled to go on sale on July 23.

i can't remember the source, but i'm pretty certain i read online that HIDIVE/Sentai has already confirmed they are the owners of 'Chained Soldier' S2 North American streaming rights. or i'm confusing that with their announcement of the S1 English dub which they'll be streaming starting July 29th. ah well, since Sentai got S1 i'm pretty much 100% sure they'll get S2 also.

i'm quite hyped Passione got this one! they've done awesome work on Ishura, HS DxD Hero, Ishuzoku Reviewers, Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo, and the remake of Spice and Wolf!

also, since Sentai presented Chained Soldier – Japanese Guest Panel at ANIME BOSTON 2024 on March 30th which consisted of lead voice actor Hirose Yuya (Voice of Yûki Wakura) and Pony Canyon producer Yuki Watanabe... i wouldn't be surprised if Sentai had already closed the deal on Chained Soldier S2 or was eyeballs deep in negotiations with Pony Canyon back in March.

Didn't read the manga till now but it was really hyped up a lot as new high school school dxd, well it wasn't able to justify the hype in the 1st season even not 50% , hope the new studio wouldn't leave us disappointed again, i desperately want it to be successful as i like and relate with the main mc a lot

@RamTrinity98 Tbf he also worked on S1, S2 looks like a case of him being given an abysmal schedule by the production rather than the skills of the director being terrible. I'm not saying hes an amazing director, but he has shown that he can be decent with S1 and The World's Finest Assassin.

It just depends on how the situation goes at Passione, they got a few things going on too lol Thankfully not as bad as Silver Link.

Can't wait for more masterpiece goodness . So damn happy with the fact that the giga chads animators of Passione will be animating this anime series from now on. They really know how to animate ecchi anime and they will give the quality this awesome manga series deserves.!!!
