'Gachiakuta' Unveils Supporting Cast, Staff, Main Promo

The official website of the Gachiakuta television anime unveiled supporting cast, staff, the theme songs, main promo, and main visual on Friday. The anime series adapting Kei Urana's action fantasy manga will air on July 6 at 11:30 p.m. on the Agaru Anime programming block on CBC and TBS' 28 affiliate stations.

Voice actors Toshiyuki Morikawa (Black Clover) and Yuuki Shin (Tokyo Revengers) are joining the cast as Regto and Jabber, respectively.

Metal band Paledusk is performing the opening theme "HUGs," which is previewed in the promotional video below. DUSTCELL (Kimi wa Meido-sama.) performs the ending theme "TOMOSHIBI."

Fumihiko Suganuma (Sirius episode director) is helming the anime at Bones Film. Hiroshi Seko (Jujutsu Kaisen) is handling the series composition and Satoshi Ishino (A.I.C.O. Incarnation) is designing the characters. Taku Iwasaki (Bungou Stray Dogs) is composing the music.

Urana began serializing the action fantasy manga in Weekly Shounen Magazine in February 2022, featuring graffiti designs by Hideyoshi Andou. Kodansha published the 14th volume on March 17, with the 15th volume scheduled to go on sale on June 17.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in March 2023. The sixth volume was released on April 22, and the seventh is shipping on July 22.

already not a fan of the manga at least the art looks decent there (even if the artstyle doesn't), but this just looks awful.

Laughable KV, nothing more than deserved though tbh. The comp is actually horrendous as well.

At least the OP sounds pretty good.... Too bad the ugly CGI was distracting me.

I'm super excited for this. I hope the cool factor of the manga gets carried over to the adaptation...

As for the CG monsters: it's not really a surprise, and I'm mostly fine with it. I just hope it won't turn anime-only watchers away from the anime.
