'Ame to Kimi to' Announces Supporting Cast [Update 6/16]

The official website of the Ame to Kimi to (With You and the Rain) television anime revealed three supporting cast and a key visual on Wednesday (pictured). The anime series adapting Kou Nikaidou's slice of life comedy manga will begin airing on July 6 at 1:30 a.m. on TV Asahi and its 24 affiliate stations' NUManimation programming block and BS Asahi.

Cast
Hiura: Shuuhei Sakaguchi (Chi. Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite)
Houjou: Mitsuho Kambe (Dungeon Meshi)
Arata: Yume Miyamoto (SSSS.Gridman)

Tomohiro Tsukimisato (Ueno-san wa Bukiyou) is directing the anime at Lesprit. Touko Machida (Uramichi Oniisan) is handling the series composition and Ayano Oowada (Bikkurimen) is designing the characters.

Nikaidou began posting the manga on their Twitter account in May 2020 before beginning official serialization in Weekly Young Magazine in August that year. Kodansha published the seventh volume in September 2024.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English for digital release in October 2021. The seventh volume went on sale on February 11.
